BOOKS

While more and more people are discovering the amazing world of mental health and wellness every day, many of the field's time-tested ideas have been around for quite a while. Because of that, there is a wealth of information that is immediately available to anyone who might feel energized to learn more.

While making this film, I was hungry to absorb as much as I could on the topic of trauma and healing. This naturally led me to consume a great many books, audiobooks, podcasts, articles, blogs, videos, and films, and to get a sense for what was really resonating with me (and what wasn’t). Many of the following books (also often available in audiobook and ebook format) are among the books I still pick up every now and then, while some are brand new.

You should not consider these to be the “best” books or the only good books there are. On the contrary, think of these merely as one possible starting point on a journey of your design. Some tackle the science hard. Others delve into the world of spirit.
